Cooking w/HY: Wings Attempt #802

So, I normally get on TikTok and look at people making food. Friday night I think, I was thinking about the smoked wings Martin’s BBQ used to make. They had a great dry rub on them but then they fell off the bone too. So I thought if I put them in my instant pot, that would defrost them, and then I could pressure cook them. So in 10 minutes, the wings defrosted AND cooked enough so they were falling apart.

I took them out and rinsed them. Then I put them in a bowl with olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder (after I tried to pat them dry. Which didn’t work because they weren’t raw anymore ). Mixed them up and put them in the air fryer for 20 minutes. Gave them a good shake at 10 minutes. Took them out when they were done.

Then I made my sauces and I just dipped them as I ate them since the wings were pretty messy and falling apart.

Next time, I’ll actually buy the fresh wings (which I should have done, they were the same price). Rinse, pat the wings dry, season them, and go right for the air fryer. I’ll save the instant pot for chicken breasts and thighs. I may make an attempt at smoking them sometime soon as well, I’ll have to let you know how that goes.
